Our Favourite Frozen Treat Recipes For Dogs!
It’s officially Spring and things are starting to heat up! That’s why we thought we’d share our favourite frozen dog treat recipes. Not only are these frozen treats delicious and nutritious for your pup, but they are incredibly enriching for your pet due to their long lasting nature.
All of our recipes are developed for happy pups and happy dog mummas, with simple to follow instructions, and every day ingredients.
Blueberry Yoghurt Bone Treats
Ingredients
¾ cup Unsweetened Greek yogurt
¾ cup Blueberries (fresh or frozen)
½ Banana
Method
Place all ingredients into a blender or food processor and pour into your mould. Place in the freezer for 5 hours, or until set.
Treats can be kept in the freezer for up to 2 months.
Frozen Fruit Bites
Ingredients **
1 banana
1 and ½ cup watermelon
1 cup pineapple
1 HPC Paw Print Silicone Mould
Method
Slice the banana into 16 pieces and place 1 piece in each paw print well. Puree watermelon in a blender or food processor and place 2 tablespoons of puree on top of the banana slice in each well. Puree Pineapple in a blender or food processor and then add a layer of puree on top of exciting banana and watermelon in each well. Place mould in the freezer for 4 hours, or until set.
** You can substitute the fruit in this recipe for any other dog-safe fruit, vegetables or yoghurt; to your dog’s taste
Peanut Butter Bone Treats
Ingredients
55g Unsweetened Greek yogurt
85ml Water
Method
Place all ingredients into a blender or food processor and blitz to combine. If you see some resistance, add more water to make the mox easier to blend. Pour into your mould. Place in the freezer for 5 hours, or until set.
Treats can be kept in the freezer for up to 2 months.
Hide And Seek Treats
Ingredients
1 cup bone broth or beef/chicken stock
1 cup Dog-Safe Peanut Butter
2 tablespoons of any DIY Superfood Gummy Powder
1 HPC Paw Print Silicone Mould
16 pieces of your dog’s favourite treat
Method
Combine peanut butter and your chosen DIY Superfood Gummy Powder in a bowl and set aside. Place 1 piece of your dog’s favourite treat in the centre of each well, and then pour broth/stock over the treat, ensuring you only fill each well half way. Place in the freezer for 1 hour. Once set, remove mould from the freezer and fill each well with peanut butter mix. Place mould back in the freezer for 4 hours, or until set.
